Awareness

“Sometimes you can see a whole lot just by looking.” – Yogi Berra
I have quoted Yogi in earlier messages because the simple nature of his comments are so full of wisdom. Earlier in my life I was too busy to just look around and be aware of all the majesty that surrounded me. It did not matter what I was busy doing, I was just “too” busy. I have learned that if I slow myself down by 1 MPH, I will begin to see and feel awareness of my world in ways I could not. If I slowed it down by 5 MPH, unbelievable, and if I slow it down even further, beyond my wildest dreams.

Where to start you ask? By coming to terms with my lack of awareness. By seeing just how “too” busy I am to be aware of my lack of awareness. That is the first step. Once I did that, I awoke to the sleep I was in and started to experience my world in ways I had never imagined. I know, the cynics out there are saying that you already see all there is to see and we do not live in a perfect world and what do I expect you to find and how much time do you think I have for this folly? I expect nothing and believe that if you are aware of all that you would like to be aware of, then do nothing. I find it difficult to believe that any of us have achieved a state of awareness so full that there is nothing left to become aware of.

My prayer for you today is that you start your journey to greater awareness and feel, see, touch and embrace the blessed and majestic world that surrounds you.
