Do the thing you fear most and the death of fear is certain. Mark Twain
Everyone has fear. It is that simple. The question is not what I am afraid of, but rather what I am going to do about it. I don’t always act in a manner as suggested by Mark Twain. There are times when I am not ready to let go of my fear and I hold onto it for dear life. It whirls around inside my head and totally consumes me to the point of feeling paralyzed. When I am in that state of mind, my spiritual condition tells me that I am taking back control and not growing.
I don’t know about you, but right now I am walking through some fears that I need to conquer and with my faith and the help of loving friends and colleagues, I am doing what I need to do to grow and get to the other side where I will no longer have this fear. Now, I know that a new one will pop up down the road, but just for today, I will stay in the moment and choose to act in a manner that conquers my fear and helps my faith grow and new opportunities emerge.
My prayer for you today is that you accept that you are afraid and will choose one fear that you are ready to overcome and do so.
