Attitudes are contagious. Is yours worth catching? I know there are people in my life that I want to be around as their positive attitudes are infectious and I always leave them feeling uplifted and having more energy. I live my life with a positive attitude that fills the air I breathe and everyone in my presence becomes infected with my smile.
As a Rabbi, Spiritual Counselor and Sober Coach in South Florida, I am frequently asked by congregants and clients if I am always so happy and upbeat. The answer is a resounding YES! My attitude of gratitude and faith are the two most important parts of my being.
It wasn’t always like that. I lived in negativity and darkness for many years. I awoke each day to thoughts of doom and gloom and guess what? I ended up with doom and gloom. I have been blessed with that old adage, “a do over” and have made good use of the opportunity. I begin each day with a prayer of thanks and then take a few minutes to make a gratitude list so I start my day focused on all that is good in my life.
Take a minute to think about all the positive things in your life. How do you reflect them onto all the people you see and engage? Do people leave you saying, WOW? I bet more do than you are aware of. If you see yourself as a bright light in your own life, you will definitely light the path another is on.
My prayer for you today is that your inner light shine brightly and that you light a light in someone else’s life.
