Speaking To The Person

“If I cannot say it to you, I dare not say it, for the person who repeats it will never say what I said or meant.” – Rabbi Mitch

I used to seek opportunities to tell others of the dishy details of your life for the hole in my soul was so great that I felt more important for the valuable information I just told you. Of course I swore you to secrecy and of course you swore on the life of your pet gerbil that you would never repeat this and of course you did. I pray that I am not the only person to have experienced that scenario.

I hurt many people during this time in my life and came to see that my internal pain and suffering caused me to hurt others in ways that were inconsistent with whom I truly was. My basic nature is one of kindness and compassion, yet when I was in my own psychic pain, I was anything but kind and compassionate.

Today, through faith and the healing of my soul, I no longer have the need to talk about you, but rather I now talk with or to you about whatever it is that concerns me about you or us. By communicating directly with you, we move our relationship forward and I grow my honesty and integrity. Now, when people share things with me about others with joy on their faces, I just listen and pray for their healing as I know from my own experience what that feels like.

My prayer for you today is that you find your courage in speaking directly to me rather than about me to someone else.
